Defensive Driving is defined as driving to safe lives, time, and money despite the conditions around you & the action of others (National Safety Council America).

Malaysian drivers are notorious for being reckless on the roads as reflected in our appalling total number of road accidents recorded annually. Which is why at MRS, we desire to play our part in creating stronger road awareness & building more defensive drivers to make our roads safer for all Malaysians!

One of our core objectives is to enable participants to achieve crash-free driving by identifying driving errors and correcting them. Through our programmes, we have instilled positive driving mindsets & sustainable behaviours by utilising the Hearts & Minds training methodology which is deeply incorporated into our training.

Programme Features Highlight

One of the key features of this programme is the Commentary Driving Coaching & Assessment. During this practical session, participants are assessed based on critical areas which include smooth braking, scanning for hazards, checking blind spots prior to position or lane change, safe speeds, safe stopping & following distance. 

On the spot feedback would be provided by trainers on how they could improve or correct their current driving techniques thus enhancing the learning experience. 

Another feature is our hands-on FLOWERS Check Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection demonstration. Here, participants learnt to inspect the vehicles critical components such as Fuel, Lights, Oil, Water, Electricals, Rubber & Safety Item.  Participants also learnt the Pull & Push Steering Technique where proper & safe steering technique is taught to ensure smooth navigation & effective avoidance during an emergency.

Since November 2018, we have also been ISO-Certified which means that our trainings provided comply with international quality assurance standards. Since then, individual driver’s competency card is issued to all recognised competent drivers who completed the programme & passed all assessments.
