Misconduct is an unlawful act intentionally performed by employee. Such conduct is faulty, neglectful and inconsistent with the discharge of employee’s duties. Reported act of misconduct remains an allegation until proven and it is the responsibility of the company to prove the proclaimed misconduct on a balance of probabilities. In order to ensure disciplinary action is carried out  properly, it is of utmost importance that the Domestic Inquiry (D.I.) is properly conducted.
